R60.00 – R220.00
These glasses from upcycled waste wine bottles lend a playful, pretty touch to any occasion – whether it’s a stay-cation, cocktail party, Sunday lunch or just your everyday dose of the elixir of life (good ol’ H20!) They are meticulously cut and sanded down to a smooth edge, ensuring you’ll not be harmed, and sandblasted by hand to achieve this lovely funky look.
Please note the colours, labels and motives are random, being made from reclaimed waste there is little standardisation and each item is unique. Specify in the order notes if you want a specific look and we’ll see what we can do. Please allow 5 additional days to the usual delivery times, as they are made to order.
Description
These glasses from upcycled waste wine bottles lend a playful, pretty touch to any occasion – whether it’s a stay-cation, cocktail party, Sunday lunch or just your everyday dose of the elixir of life (good ol’ H20!) They are meticulously cut and sanded down to a smooth edge, ensuring you’ll not be harmed, and sandblasted by hand to achieve this lovely funky look.
A great way to give waste glass a second-chance at life, before it is sent for recycling (recycling glass is quite an energy intensive process, and it is better to reuse existing glass than to recycle, and better to recycle than to buy virgin glass, because glass is after all also made from a finite resource). In other words, you are saving energy and finite resources in adding another loop in the circular economy!
Note the colours and motives are completely random, being made from waste there is little standardisation of colours and each item is unique. Please specify in the order notes if you want a specific look, and we’ll try to match it if it’s available, but no guarantees. They are also made to order – please allow 5 additional days to the usual delivery times, to allow for the making thereof.

Material Notes | Even though glass is infinitely recyclable and chemically stable, the recycling process is quite energy intensive. If waste glass can be reused or repurposed before being recycled, that is much more energy efficient than simply sending it for recycling after first use. After reaching the end of their useful life, these glass tumblers can still be sent for recycling. |
