Upcycle Reclaimed T-Shirt Doggie Rope Toys

If you are a doggie owner, you must know that doggie rope toys are the hot shizznizz! Dogs just can’t get enough of them! They’re shaped like bones, with the ends being knotted – great for playing tug, chewing, teething, practising agility and strength, and even for playing fetch. Being made from pure cotton, it’s safe to chew on and helps to keep teeth clean and promote healthy jaws.

And these doggie pull toys are somewhat special:

They are made from corporate branded t-shirts, where the branding process left the shirt unsatisfactory and therefore the shirt would have been sent to landfill (to protect brand integrity, they cannot be sold on the second-hand market). But that is where the Upcycle team jumped in and saved the day… and the planet! They carefully removed the branding, and ripped what was left into strips of yarn, and wove these toys by hand. Yep yep, what an amazing bedtime story to tell your fur-babies!

These toys are well-made, they are strong and sturdy and can last for many years – a fantastic investment to occupy your doggie. Who ever knew that being earth-conscious could induce so much fun and games!

Note the colours are completely random, being made from waste there is little standardisation of colours and each item is unique. Please specify in the order notes if you want a specific colour combination and we’ll try to match it if it’s available, but no guarantees.

Directions for use:

Entice dog to play with the rope toy by jiggling the toy in front of the dog while verbally encouraging the dog to take it. Either let go to let dog chew on it, or don’t let go to play tug. Do teach dog not to become too aggressive – never allow dog to bite your hand during play, or jump on you, as these habits may not harm you, but may harm someone smaller or more fragile than you in future. Do supervise dogs who chew on things. Play fetch with the rope as you would with a ball.

Small: 25 – 30 cm length, 2cm – 2.5 cm width

Large: 45 – 50 cm length, 3 – 3.5 cm width
