The planter bags are locally made from waste billboard canvas, which is very durable material, UV stable, and takes ages to decompose – current estimates say it takes 20 years before it even starts to degrade! There is also currently no way to recycle billboard fabric, so the creative Upcycle team are figuring out brilliant applications to keep waste billboards out of the landfill.

The planter bags’ fabric is waterproof, thereby helping to keep moisture in the soil, but the stitching at the bottom allows water to slowly drain away, so your plants don’t drown. Because the fabric is UV resistant, it’s great for both indoors and outdoors use. Such a clever design, and such a clever way to turn waste to treasure!

Each bag is unique and you will get a show-piece full of character for your home, sure to be a conversation starter, and you get to be a sustainable trend setter!
