Description
Ecoelephant’s panty liners are ideal for spotting / daily wear or back-up protection to menstrual cups (spotting). Being made from cloth, they are washable and reusable – saving you a fortune, and the planet a truck load of waste, over your lifetime!
Made from soft and absorbent materials, Ecoelephant’s menstrual pads are non-irritating and comfortable to wear. They are designed with wings to hold them in place, secured by a snap at the crotch. The top comes in a variety of pretty prints and colours, and the backing fabric (that touch your panties) comes in black softshell to prevent it slipping and sliding around in your underwear. It has high-quality plastic stud presses that will last many years, and will never rust.
The pads have high-quality stitching and trims, are made from quality fabrics, and will last 7 – 10 years, if cared for properly.
Being free from all the synthetic chemicals and volatile organic compounds (VOC’s) that disposable pads and tampons contain, these pads are less likely to cause irritation to the highly permeable vaginal area. Ditto for all the chemicals these pads will not release into the ecosystem, unlike their disposable counterparts!
Please note it is not entirely waterproof, but does provide moisture management, and is only intended for spotting (either alone or in conjunction with a menstrual cup).
Directions for use:
- Lay the pad inside your panties / briefs, with the softshell facing the underwear. Fold the wings underneath the panty, then clip the plastic studs firmly together. Wear as you would a disposable menstrual pad, but take it out after a few hours (typically 4 – 8), replace with another clean pad.
- Rinse immediately after use under cold water, ring out excess water, if needed – rub stains with natural soap like boerseep /laundry stick and soak them for a bit if needed. Hand wash or machine wash in cold or warm wash (up to 40c), without softener. On long cotton wash, load should be 3/4 full, so the pads receive the right agitation. Can be washed along with regular laundry or towels. Add a rinse cycle if your machine doesn’t automatically do one.
- Drying – line dry inside/outside.
- Do not tumble dry, iron or bleach, and do not use fabric softener.
- Store in a dry place.
